Temperature test of plastic lens headlights

For the temperature test of plastic lens headlamps, the requirements for the samples are as follows: 1. Light-shielding 13 blocks: 6 of which are equipped with light-shielding mirrors, and 6 pieces of material samples with a minimum size of 60 mm×80 mm can be used. Instead, the outer surface has a radius of curvature of not less than 300 mm and a sufficiently flat area for measurement of at least 15 mm x 15 mm in the middle; each lens or material sample shall be manufactured by mass production. 2. One whole lamp (including a mirror) without a light distribution mirror.

Temperature test of plastic lens headlights--high and low temperature alternating heat and humidity test chamber

In the following order, three new spectroscopic specimens shall be subjected to five cycles of temperature and humidity change tests:

40 ° C ± 2 ° C, 85% ~ 95% RH, 3h;

23 ° C ± 5 ° C, 60% ~ 75% RH, 1 h;

-30 ° C ± 2 ° C, 15 h;

23 ° C ± 5 ° C, 60% ~ 75% RH, 1 h;

80 ° C ± 2 ° C, 3 h;

23 ° C ± 5 ° C, 60% ~ 75% RH, 1 h.

Before the start of the above test cycle, the sample shall be stored for at least 4 hours in an environment of 23 ° C ± 5 ° C and 60% to 75% RH. Note: 23 °C ± 5 °C / 1h includes the transition time required to avoid thermal shock effects from one temperature to another.

Results: Before and after the test, the illuminance value of the low beam B50L, 50R and high beam Emax should not exceed 10% for each sample. For semi-hermetic headlamps, a standard filament bulb should be used for measurement.
