The pattern files that people use Word, WPS, PageMaKer can not output directly on the Founder system. What is the reason? Because the files exported by the Founder series publishing software (book edition, WITS, etc.) are generally output on the PSP 3.1, the printers used are basically all Canon BX series and cannot be connected to the parallel port of the computer. On Founder's special issue cards, and typesetting files generated by Word, WPS, PageMaKer and other typesetting software can not be recognized by PSP3.1, so these typesetting files cannot be printed on the printer. If these documents are to be printed, they can only be converted into text files first, and then they can be retyped and printed using the book version or the Wes, which is time-consuming and laborious, and also increases the cost and the difficulty of editing and proofreading. There is also the purchase of a parallel printer (such as HP printer) and connected to the computer's standard parallel port, but this would increase the investment is also uneconomical. There is a way to achieve the best of both worlds. In the case of neither converting files nor adding devices, as long as the parameters are reset under WIN95/98, high-quality Word, WPS, and PageMaKer typesetting files can be output. The method is as follows:
First, set up WIN95/98 printer
Go to "Printer" under "Control Panel" of WINDOWS and select "Add Printer", then select one by one as follows: Local Printer → Linotronic → Linotronic 530 → File: Create File on Disk → Select as Default Printer → No Print a test page → done.
We set up the printer as "Linotronic 530" and Founder PSP 3.1 can identify other typesetting files.
Second, the output of WORD and WPS format files
Open a file in WORD97 (or 2000), select "Print", in the "Print to File" dialog box, output a file name, generate a file with a PRN suffix, change the PRN suffix to PS suffix file, and then in the Founder In PSP3.1, the output file type is selected as Postscript file, *.PS", so that this Word file can be printed out with Founder PSP 3.1. The output method of WPS2000 file is the same as the output method of WORD97 (2000).
Third, the output of PageMaKer6.0 format file
As a professional typesetting software, PageMaKer6.0 is widely used in the printing industry and advertising industry for its powerful word processing functions and graphics and image processing functions. The output of the PageMaKer6.0 layout file on Founder will be more complicated. The operation steps are as follows:
1. When installing PageMaKer6.0, there is an installation menu to select the type of PPD, select Linotronic 530J of Linotronic, other options are default values.
2. After the installation is complete, open a file to be printed. Select the "Print" menu under "File". The content of the PPD item changes to "Linotronic530Jv52.3v2013".
3. Select the "Paper" item, select the paper size as "Custom", and then select "Chinese Font Download" as "Bitmap" in the "Options" column, and select "Write Postscript to File" as the item. Press “√â€, then output a file name with PS suffix, then press “Save†file, PS file will be generated, and it can be printed on Founder PSP3.1.
Fourth, the use of Founder PSP3.1 output anti-word
Since the PS file has already been generated, we can directly output it to PSP3.1. If we want to output the inverted word, we only need to tick the “□ inverse†option of PSP 3.1.
