When I heard about Masquespacio, I knew I had to dig deeper. This award-winning creative consultancy was founded back in 2010 by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse. Combining their expertise in interior design and marketing, the duo from Spain has been crafting custom-made branding and interior projects ever since. Their unique approach always results in fresh and innovative concepts that leave a lasting impression.
Our magazine, CovetED, had the chance to meet the dynamic pair at Casa Decor 2020 in Madrid. I was fascinated by their work, and after reading their interview, I understood why. They truly bring a fresh perspective to the world of design.

One of the highlights of their experience at Casa Decor was the camaraderie among the different interior designers and designers. Each designer showcased their unique style, making the event incredibly eclectic and diverse. It was inspiring to see how everyone embraced the spirit of sharing and learning from one another.
"We wanted to show that a commercial product like ceramics could be elevated beyond its traditional use. So we decided to create a living room that pays tribute to ceramics, incorporating them into furniture pieces as well. Adding touches of velvet and plants gave it a warmer and more sophisticated feel."
Masquespacio presented a space for Roca Tile at Casa Decor to honor ceramics and their role in interior design and decoration. Drawing inspiration from both Greco-Roman architecture and surrealist fantasies, their space titled "A Look to the Future from the Past" explored new ways to adapt ceramics to various uses, including symbolic furnishings that seem to observe us. The space also featured organic vegetation in contrast to the floor and wall coverings, creating a unique environment enhanced by lighting.
The elegance of polished marble, with its reflective properties, was beautifully replicated in porcelain. Roca Tile's new collections at Casa Decor showcased exceptionally bright marbles, solid-colored pieces, patterns, meshes, and tiles, offering endless decorative possibilities for integrated spaces.
"Greco-Roman inspiration meets the future in our space, combined with a touch of surreal fantasy. We’ve named it the 'ceramic dream,' a mood board of Roca Tile materials."
Roca Tile's commitment to sustainability was evident in their choices, with products that follow artisanal processes and reduce pollution through handmade techniques. This aligns perfectly with the current trend of sustainability in interior design.
This year marked the twelfth edition of Casa Decor in Madrid, held in a stunning palace house from the early 20th century. Spread across five floors, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for the 50 participating interior designers to showcase their imaginative designs.
