2016 China International Snow Tourism Industry Expo

Zhou Yang: First of all, as a short track speed skater, I am particularly pleased to see that the development of the ice and snow industry is so vital. In addition, everyone knows that I am from Changchun, and the China International Ice and Snow Tourism Industry Fair is held in Changchun City, Jilin Province. I am very proud of it. As a Changchun-based Olympic champion, it is my unshirkable responsibility to contribute more strength to my hometown. Therefore, this is also the original intention of my very willingness to become the endorsement of the current snow and ice tourism industry expo.

2. What do you think of the ice and snow tourism industry fair that can popularize the ice and snow sports?

Zhou Yang: Actually, the distance between snow and ice sports is not far away. In winter, when the weather is cold, we should increase outdoor activities. After the successful bid for the Winter Olympics in 2022, everyone's enthusiasm for snow sports was also ignited. There are more and more friends who love skiing and skating around me. Skating skiing has now become a part of the lives of many friends, just like running and playing badminton. If you are interested in skiing, ice skating and other winter sports, you must come to the scene of the ice and snow tourism industry expo to experience all kinds of ice and snow sports. I believe that everyone will be able to feel the charm and fun of snow sports.

3. What more expectations do you have for this show that you can share with us?

Zhou Yang: Perhaps for people, the ice and snow sports need more professionalism, but they also need the enthusiasm of the broad masses of friends. In fact, this situation is also undergoing tremendous changes, and people’s enthusiasm for participation is constantly improving. The China International Ice and Snow Tourism Industry Expo, with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s proposal of “300 million people participating in snow and ice sports” and “Ice and snow is also a golden hill and silver mountain” as an opportunity, has accelerated the pace of popularizing ice and snow sports. Everyone knows that the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in China. China has a vast territory and there is a high quality snow and ice resource in Northeast China.
