Milk beverage paper packaging recovery increased year by year

According to statistics, the recycling volume of post-consumer milk beverage paper packaging in China has been increasing year by year. In the first half of 2013, more than 5.6 billion milk beverage paper packages have been recycled.

It is understood that, since 2005, sorting and recycling packaging has become a frequent environmental action for consumers. The recyclability of packaging materials is also considered by the food industry as the top priority when developing new products or services.

“On a global scale, consumers are more concerned about the recyclability of packaging materials and environmental protection. The recyclability of packaging is a fundamental requirement of consumers and the food industry for packaging.” This is an environmental investigation report released recently by Tetra Pak. To the

It is reported that Tetra Pak investigated and visited the management of more than 7,000 consumers and 200 food companies in 13 countries around the world. These countries include China, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey, Brazil, South Africa, Japan, and India.

The survey report shows that in recent years, the food industry has noticeably increased its emphasis on renewable packaging materials. The survey shows that, based on the recyclability of paperboard, consumers still think that the paper box is the most environmentally friendly packaging. At the same time, more than half of consumers believe that the use of biomass plastics will further improve the environmental performance of carton packaging. At present, the global food industry has adopted biomass plastic as an important environmental trend for the development of future beverage packaging.

The report also shows that consumers increasingly value the environmental information of their products. 37% of consumers often look for environmental protection signs on food packaging. The proportion of consumers who trust the information represented by the eco-label has risen from 37% in 2011 to the current 54%. In the survey process, about 20% of consumers can identify the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) logo, which represents the world's most authoritative and rigorous forest sustainability management certification system.
