(1) Mixing ratio of solvent: The volatilization rate of the mixed solvent is controlled by the solvent molecules, and its volatilization rate is not the average of their volatilization rates.
(2) Influence of resin: The solvent evaporation in the ink is more complicated. When the resin is dissolved in the solvent, the two substances are tightly bound to each other. At this time, the volatilization rate of the solvent is lower than the volatilization rate of the solvent itself. During the drying process, the liquid ink volatilizes, the resin content increases, and the evaporation rate of the solvent also slows down.
(3) The condition of pigment particles: When ink is added, when the materials such as pigments and fillers are added, the volatilization rate of the solvent is greatly reduced. The finer the particles of the pigment, the larger the surface area and the slower the evaporation of the solvent.
(4) Influence of ambient temperature and humidity: The higher the room temperature of the printing shop, the faster the solvent's volatilization rate, and vice versa, the slower, the indoor air circulation, the solvent volatilizes quickly, and if the interior is relatively closed, the solvent volatilizes slowly. So high-speed gravure or flexo presses are equipped with heating and exhaust devices. The conditional plastic printing factory should be equipped with a solvent recovery device, which not only solves the problem of drying of the solvent volatile ink layer, but also solves the problem of sewage discharge, which is beneficial to the physical and mental health of employees.
