McDowell's Whiskey Pack is manufactured by Flex-America for the McDowell United Breweries Group in India. The gold packaging is very tall and has an integrated carrying handle on the top. A 1 or 1.5 liter bottle is contained inside. The package was met with consumers in July 2004 and collected feedback. According to reports, the cost of the beautiful metallized gold-colored bags has been reduced by more than 20% compared to previous years, and brand counterfeiting has been prevented. The pouch is laminated to a 12 micron (48-ga) metallized PET and a 75 micron (approximately 3 mil) LDPE from a 12 micron (approximately 48-ga) PET using a dry lamination process. (part of the Flex Group) prints with 8-color reversal gravure printing and has an embedded handle at the top. Since the package is a one-time package, tearing the opening and taking out the bottle renders the package useless, thus preventing the McDowell brand from being faked. The Flex Group started its business almost 20 years ago, producing a variety of films, bags, inks and adhesives. PD Magazine learned that the packaging was produced on an upright packaging bag making machine manufactured by Flex Engineering in India.
