Multi-Color of the United States and DuPont teamed up to provide Labatt Brewing's 473 millilitre Labatt Blue Pilsener beer cans with insulation labeling system solutions. Unlike traditional beer cans, the Labatt Blue Cold One beer can be topped with a layer of DuPont Cool2Go, which acts as a thin insulating cover to prevent the beer from being affected by hand heat, compression, and temperature increases. Once the beer is chilled, the insulation sleeve enables the beer to stay longer than traditional cans.
Multi-Color Corporation has played a key role in launching this new packaging container by creating a specially designed shrink sleeve label. The label was produced by Multi-Color's factory using gravure technology and a unique shrink film that maximizes the insulation of the packaging container. On the label, the long-lasting Labatt logo was printed with bold colors, and the cooling effect of cold drinks was achieved through the brightening effect of metallic silver ink. Prepress work includes separation and engraving of plate cylinders, completed by Multi-Color's image services department. Labeling is done by Alliance Labeling.
