Nova Chemical used its advanced Sclairtech two-reactor, non-mao single-site catalyst technology to produce a new linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE): FPs016-C. The resin is mainly used for blown films with special requirements for toughness, such as packaging of products and frozen foods, or protective films for motor vehicles and ships. The resin has excellent processability. The melt flow rate was 0.65 g/10 min and the density was 0.916 g/cm 3 . The resin is superior to similar materials in tear strength and hot tack strength when sealed at a suitable temperature on a high speed production line. The 0.025 4 mm thick film has a longitudinal tear strength of 350 g, a transverse tear strength of 450 g, a drop weight impact strength of 700 g, a longitudinal tensile strength of 6,820 psi (47 MPa), and a transverse tensile strength of 6,380. Psi (44 MPa). 
