RPC Cresstale successfully completed the 100% biodegradable lip balm test. The lipstick's new packaging uses PHA polyvinyl alcohol, a polymer that is extracted from organic sugars and oils. It is biodegradable and can be completely degraded in water or soil. The synthesis and decomposition of the entire material will not have any negative impact on the environment.
PHA is more stable to temperature reactions than PLA polymers and is therefore more suitable as a cosmetic packaging material.
