Hangzhou Kewang Specialty Ink Co., Ltd. combines UV technology with a thermal transfer process and has recently developed a self-drying UV curing thermal transfer ink, UV-TP-838. The ink can be screen printed or gravure printed on release paper coated paper or plastic film such as PET. The printed UV-TP-838 ink can dry quickly and reach a sufficiently high hardness. The layers are both thermoplastic and photosensitive and can be packaged and transported directly, with a shelf life of 6 months. In the thermal transfer, the UV ink layer becomes hot and sticks to the substrate. After being irradiated with UV light (several seconds), the photosensitive layer is transformed into a thermosetting film, and the surface release film is torn off, and a color pattern is obtained. . Compared with general thermal transfer inks, UV cured ink layers have high gloss, high hardness, excellent solvent resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance.
According to the need, a layer of UV-TP-838N transparent varnish can be printed on the release film. The pattern has higher gloss after transfer and better abrasion resistance. It is mainly used for various high-grade instruments, electrical appliances and toys. Surface protective layer of surface products, process flow: release film → screen printing UVTP-838 ink → dry (20 ~ 30 °C / 20 ~ 30 min) → thermal transfer → UV curing → remove the release film → finished product.
