DAK recently displayed a new PET resin for food and beverage packaging. Thanks to the new UV-blocking technology, this new product can greatly extend the shelf life of foods and beverages.
Laser can shield UV rays, prevent UV rays from affecting and changing the taste and color of the products in the package, and prevent the destruction of vitamins. According to DAK, the new resin can block UV light at a wavelength of 390 nm, and currently there is only a PET resin with a blocking wavelength of 360-370 nm. DAK also uses Milliken's UV absorber to further increase the product's ability to block UV rays. At present, the laser in the supply market is pellets, which can be directly processed and molded by the PET bottles and container manufacturers. In addition, the new product has good physical properties and can be easily recycled. (Tang Weijia)
