How to detect the insulation of the helmet

Method 1: Place the helmet on the head mold and lock the headband; touch the probe to any part of the outer surface of the helmet, the tip is hemispherical; apply an AC test voltage between the head mold and the probe to adjust the test voltage. Increase the voltage to 1200V ± 25V in 1min for 15s; repeat the test and test 10 points per top helmet. Record the magnitude of the leakage current and possible breakdown.

Method 2: Pour the helmet into a suitable container and inject 3 g/L of sodium chloride solution into the container and cap until the solution is 10 mm from the edge of the cap. The electrodes were placed in the solution inside and outside the cap, and the adjustment test voltage was increased to 1200 V ± 25 V in 1 min for 15 s. Record the magnitude of the leakage current and possible breakdown.

Method 3: Use two probes to touch any two points on the outer surface of the helmet and apply voltage. The distance between the two points is not less than 20mm. Adjust the test voltage to 1200V±25V in 1min for 15s; measure the leakage current between the two points on the helmet surface, repeat the test, test 10 points per top helmet, record the leakage current and possible breakdown
