First, when adjusting ink, you must pay attention to: hue, lightness, and color.

First of all, we must carefully analyze the original color draft, analyze the original color draft according to the principles of the three primary color inks, and determine the color of the main ink of the color draft and the color of the auxiliary ink. In theory, according to the principle of three primary colors, any complex color can be deployed. However, in actual work, it is not enough to use only the three primary colors of ink to match the colors requested by customers. Therefore, more than ten kinds of inks, such as deep yellow, medium yellow, light yellow, dark blue, medium blue, light blue, blue light, dark red, red, orange, light red, and green ink, must be used to meet the practical requirements.

Secondly, after adjusting the hue, when performing lightness deployment, we usually encounter two situations: lightness and lack of lightness. Brightness is too strong, you can add a strong hue with proper hue or simply add black or white to reduce lightness. The lack of lightness can be enhanced by adding some white ink or a light color ink of a suitable hue. For example, we feel that the yellow color drawn out is too strong. To reduce the brightness, we can add a little purple. Finally, adjust the chroma of the oil paint. When the color is too strong or too pure, you can add gray or black ink, or add complementary color ink. If the color is too gray, you should add pure strong color ink.

The performance of each press is different, so the problems to be noticed when dispensing ink are different. For example, when ink is used in an offset printing machine, it should be noted that the color of the ink during the deposition is deeper than the original color. Because there is no printing pressure during the topography, its ink layer is always floating. In the printing, the pressure of the rubber on the paper is very large, the ink layer is even and solid, and the actual amount of ink is less than that of the topography. Thin ink, poor coloring power.

Third, we must understand the type of paper when we ink.

The use of texture loose, rough surface paper, capillary adsorption force, can increase the ability to absorb ink, in the ink should pay attention to increase the amount of ink. Use smooth, solid paper like coated paper, with less ink. Should pay attention to reduce the amount of ink, so as to avoid waste.

Large pressure printing press is flat, can make the imprinted ink layer flat and solid, even printing plate phenomenon. Small machine pressure, lack of layout force, so that the imprint ink layer is not strong and floating, resulting in the occurrence of printing plates, can only be used to increase the amount of ink to change the state of the bottom of the printing plate. This means that the same printing plate and paper will print more on a less stressed machine than on a more stressed machine. Therefore, printing plates with a large plateau pressure are generally printed on a round flattening machine, which not only improves the quality of the product, but also saves ink.

2. How to use pearl powder mixed with pigment

Gravure printing mainly uses low-viscosity liquid inks. The pearlescent pigments should be blended with a transparent material (resin) with good transparency and a transparent diluting agent with good printability. In the preparation of color inks, according to different papers choose different color ink types. White card, white paper should use pigment type color material, PET composite paper should use dye type color material. Color and pearl powder can be mixed, generally not more than 20% of pearl powder. If the hue is too heavy, it will affect the pearlescent effect, because the pearlescent pigment can only have special light interference function in the well-lighted ink layer, and excessive use of other colored pigments will cause a large amount of pearlescent light to be lost.

Method of deployment. Diluter: color ink: pearlescent ink = 75:3:22, depending on the desired effect to add or reduce the proportion of each.

Operation method: First use dilute agent and color ink for deployment (remember: to find out the proportion to be weighed), deploy the sample to be slightly deeper than the required sample draft, then add the soaked pearl powder, evenly stir, and other pearl powder It can be used after it is evenly dispersed in the ink.

3, the rational use of pearl powder on the composite paper

For example, pearlescent inks are printed on PET composite paper. Because the smoothness of the surface of the paper is good, the transfer rate of pearlescent ink is reduced during the printing process, and at the same time, the hiding effect is also poor, and the printed hair reveals the paper color. So in the process of arrangement to take into account the vacant color sequence, printing two times pearlescent ink or base oil, so that the pearlescent light effect will be more clear; no empty color sequence, consider adding appropriate aluminum powder, white ink or transparent pearl ink Ink, so that the pearlescent light effect is slightly lost, but increased coverage.
