In June 2003, the American Concrete Association announced a new method of rapid paving. Concrete roads laid using this method can be used from 12 hours to 48 hours.
The association said that concrete pavements laid using traditional methods generally require 5 to 14 days to be used. This is a headache for the city and traffic management departments. Using the new method to lay the cement pavement at the crossroads, it can be constructed at night to open during the peak hours of daytime traffic. This method is usually used to repair or update roads and airport runways, but it can also be used for building construction. In addition to easing traffic problems, it can also reduce construction costs.
The Concrete Concrete Association said that the new methods involved some changes in cement materials, construction work procedures, concrete curing, temperature control, and concrete strength testing.
