Kite Packaging Acquires Burnhead Packaging Supplies

This marks Kite’s largest acquisition to date, valued at £4 million

On this day, Kite Packaging officially announced the acquisition of Burnhead Packaging Supplies, a well-established packaging distributor based in Sittingbourne, Kent. With an annual turnover of £4 million, this deal represents Kite’s most significant acquisition to date. The business will continue to operate under the name “Burnhead Packaging Supplies, a division of Kite Packaging,” with its existing team of eleven employees now joining Kite as partner employees.

The acquisition also includes the freehold property in Sittingbourne, further strengthening Kite's local presence. Burnhead is currently undergoing a full rebranding process, including new signage and vehicle livery, to align with the Kite Packaging identity.

Burnhead has long been known for its expertise in the stretch film market. Now, under Kite’s umbrella, it will benefit from Kite’s strong supplier relationships and access to a wide range of standard products from the company’s National Distribution Centre. This expanded product offering, combined with Kite’s commitment to exceptional customer service, positions Burnhead to grow rapidly and solidify its position as the leading packaging supplier in Kent and surrounding regions.

The acquisition also enhances Kite’s multi-branch strategy, particularly for key accounts that require a broader regional footprint. Paul Mustard, Kite’s Managing Partner, will oversee the operations of Burnhead, alongside Kite’s other South East branches, including a major site in Harlow and a smaller one in Maidstone.
