Artistic version of "Baker" beer bottle coming soon

For more than 20 years, "Baker" Beer Company has been closely associated with British pioneer artists and has invited top artists to design various trademarks for limited edition bottles. This time, the "Baker" beer company hopes that the art-packaged bottles will popularize the public. As a result, the company chose to join forces with the Royal Academy of Arts in Kensington, West London. The Academy selected art works and the company was responsible for displaying them on 27 million beer bottles.

The Royal Academy of Arts immediately established a judging panel to collect personalized themed works from students who have graduated and are currently studying. In the end, the review team selected four works from the submitted works.

Inka Shinnibal, who had participated in the limited edition wine bottle logo design, believes that the relationship between the artist and the brewers is "mutual promotion", that is, using the artist's design to change the reputation of the beer brand.

"I think the idea of ​​elegant art and customs is old-fashioned in my opinion," said Trinibal.

A rare opportunity

The four up-and-coming artists who will soon be on the bottle are Rita Ikonin, Tom Prisse, Charlotte Bracegger, and Simon Cunningham. They will share 24,000 pounds (about 46,000 U.S. dollars) in bonuses. But for them, the biggest reward is that this 27 million wine bottle provides an unprecedented display platform for their work.

Ikonin, 27, from Finland, just graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts last month. On the 14th, she told the British "The Times" reporter: "This is a very rare opportunity for many people to see my work and find it interesting."

Ikonin's work is a close-up of a friend's eye. The wonderful part is that, without glue, a tiny mannequin stands on the eyelashes of this eye. She said: "This is a work on space. I named it 'sticky together.' My model can keep blinking for a long time, but we have only succeeded in trial and error."

Although opportunities are rare, it is still difficult to determine whether the four emerging artists can smoothly become mainstream artists and whether this opportunity can bring them fame and wealth. Zunibir said: "The fact that the bottle of wine in their works has nothing to do with their career. But for young artists, this may be the ladder to the next opportunity."



Collaborate again

This time is not the first time Baker Beer Company has cooperated with British artists. Previously, in order to express its support for the British contemporary art, from 1985 to 2006, "Baker" beer company constantly convinced some top artists to design various trademarks for limited edition bottles. Famous British artists Gilbert and George, Rachel Whitered, Damian Hirst, Chapman Brothers, Richard Lange, Tracy Emin and Inka Shueni Barr et al.'s works have decorated "Baker" beer bottles. These thousands of limited-edition bottles were then given away free of charge to some of the leading fashionistas. Now they have become objects of collector's collection, each priced at several hundred pounds.
