Poly board production process

Unsaturated polyester resin decorative plywood, also known as Pauli board, is made of ordinary plywood as a substrate, affixed with a decorative board, and then cured by applying a layer of unsaturated polyester coating on the paper. Beautiful products, bright color, with a variety of fine patterns and high transparency, thick coating coating, high hardness and wear resistance, certain water resistance, resistance to a variety of chemicals and pollution resistance, therefore, got A wide range of applications.

The production process is roughly as follows:

Plywood substrate glued → affixed decorative paper → dry or hot pressed → coated unsaturated polyester resin → dry → trimming → sub-test → finished product.

The plywood substrate requires good quality and the board surface must fully meet the decorative quality requirements.

Gluing: The polyvinyl acetate emulsion is sprayed on the surface of the board. In order to increase the bonding property and water resistance of the board and the decorative paper, a certain proportion of urea-formaldehyde resin glue can be generally added in the emulsion.

Sticking decorative paper is the key process in production. The process of the sticker is mainly done on the production line. After the sticking, the paper is cut into certain specifications by the cutter, but a certain processing allowance must be left.

Drying or hot pressing: In order to make the adhesive layer cure faster, after the sticker, the plate must be dried, and the temperature should be controlled below the softening point. At this time, the drying time is long, such as modifying the rubber compound, or adding urea formaldehyde. The resin, which is changed from thermoplastic to thermosetting glue at this time, can therefore be dried at a higher temperature and can be cured in 20 minutes. The modified emulsion can also be autoclaved. The hot pressing temperature is between 105 and 110 degrees Celsius, and the entire cycle can be completed in 1 minute.

Unsaturated polyester resin: After drying, the surface should also be coated with an unsaturated polyester resin coating. This coating is soluble in styrene and cross-linking into good in the presence of initiator and accelerator. Insoluble infusible coating. The most commonly used peroxides are initiators such as cyclohexanone peroxide and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide. The accelerator is generally cobalt naphthenate. The amount of peroxide is generally about 2% of the resin, and the cobalt naphthenate is less than 1%. The reaction between them is fierce and cannot be directly mixed. The storage and transportation must be divided and packaged. When the peroxide is sufficiently mixed in the resin, the accelerator is often added. When the resin is applied, the resin is poured onto the surface to be coated, immediately covered with a polyester film, and the paint is uniformly spread by a rubber roller to remove air bubbles. After that, it is dried at room temperature or infrared. After the drying is completed, the polyester film is applied. Then, the trimming process is performed to obtain a bright and smooth Pauling plate.
