For export containers, there are strict regulations in place to ensure quality and compliance. Let’s go through the key requirements:
1. The exterior of the packaging box must be free from any damage, stains, rust, peeling, cracks, or other paper-related defects. The internal paper should not have issues like splicing, missing material, wrinkles, penetration, or color variations. All boxes in the same batch must agree on the whiteness and paper type. Slight cracking is acceptable for preprinted or offset UV layers, but no drossing (excess ink) is allowed.
2. The printed patterns and text on the box must be clear, accurate, and consistent in depth. They should be placed precisely, with an allowable overlap error of 1mm. The printing ink should not flake off, and there must be no typos, wrong prints, missing prints, or reprints. Each box can have no more than five instances of excess ink within a 1mm x 1mm area on the front. On the sides, there should be no more than five such areas in a 2mm x 2mm size. The barcode must be clearly readable.
3. The indentation lines on the box should not exceed 12mm in width, and they should be centered. There should be no extra lines, such as cracks, broken lines, or heavy lines, that could affect the overall appearance or functionality of the box.
4. The box must maintain a square shape, without any warping or overlapping. The two flap covers should not misalign by more than 5mm. After forming, the hole diameter should not exceed 5mm, and the nail width should be between 35mm and 50mm.
5. The box nails should be made of low-carbon steel flat wire with a coating, and they must not show signs of rust, peeling, or cracking. The nails should be aligned along the midline of the joints, arranged neatly, and not skewed. The maximum skew should be 2mm, and the spacing between nails should be even. The distance from the end to the edge of the fold line should be 137mm. The nail joints must be fully secured, with no extra nails or holes. No nails should appear in the printed text.
6. The adhesive used should be cornstarch-based, applied evenly and fully without spillage. The bonding must be neat and firm, with the joints properly aligned. The displacement between the upper and lower parts, or left and right, should not exceed 2mm. There should be no sticking between the box and the body.
7. After the box is formed, the flaps should be folded back 180 degrees twice, and no cracking is allowed. Any paper crevices inside the box must not be visible. For hand-made offset printing, the UV box flap folding method remains the same. For automatic film boxes, the maximum number of folds is 90 in three attempts. The UV layer may have slight cracks, but no dross is allowed. The paper may also have slight cracks, but no dew (moisture) is permitted. Corrugated cardboard boxes with A, B, or C flutes must not have dew defects.
8. During pressure testing, the box must not curl, collapse, or bulge for 2 minutes.
9. If the box has handle holes, the two holes must be perfectly centered. The hole width should be between 5mm and 7mm, and the height between 18mm and 20mm. The distance between the two holes should be between 102mm and 104mm. The holes must not interfere with any printed patterns or fonts.
10. Boxes with ventilation holes must have a hole diameter of 15mm, and this hole must not overlap with any printed text or design.
