Dipping and bonding

1. Dipping Bonding Method The dipping method is one of the oldest and most commonly used techniques in chemical bonding processes, also referred to as full immersion or saturated dipping. It evolved from traditional dyeing methods and has been widely applied in the production of nonwoven fabrics. Basic Process Flow: In this method, a fibrous web is immersed into a tank containing adhesive. After soaking, any excess adhesive is removed using a pair of rollers or vacuum suction devices. The web is then dried and cured to form a finished nonwoven material. Depending on how the liquid is applied and absorbed, the process can be classified into padding type, absorption type, or a combination of both. Additionally, it can be categorized based on the screen design—single curtain or double curtain. Features: This technique results in a relatively stiff fabric, making it ideal for applications such as interlining. (2) Single Curtain Impregnation (effectively reducing curtain loss) Single curtain impregnation is an efficient way to apply adhesive uniformly. It helps minimize waste and improve the consistency of the final product. Rotary Screen Roller Impregnation Machine This machine uses a rotating screen and pressure rollers to evenly apply adhesive onto the fiber web. It's particularly suitable for producing thin adhesive nonwoven materials used in interlining and disposable hygiene products. Rotary Screen Roller Vacuum Suction Impregnation Machine This advanced system combines the use of a rotary screen with vacuum suction, ensuring precise control over adhesive application. It’s ideal for manufacturing high-quality, thin adhesive nonwovens that require uniform coating. (3) Double Net Transfer Impregnation In this method, the fiber web moves horizontally and is clamped between upper and lower plates, preventing deformation during processing. This makes it especially suitable for handling wide-width fiber webs, offering greater stability and better quality control. Overall, the dipping method remains a fundamental technique in the nonwoven industry due to its simplicity, efficiency, and adaptability to different types of materials and applications.
