A new technology for the development of potassium sulfate from the ammonia process of Yantian Resources was recently developed by Tianjin University of Science and Technology and became a pioneer in China. After industrial production tests, the conversion rate of potassium reached 85% to 90%, and the product quality contained potassium oxide to more than 50%.
The project is based on the bitter brine in Yantian, which is rich in domestic coastal areas. The process is short, the consumption index is low, the yield is high, and it is easy to be industrialized. It has become the best route for the production of potassium sulfate from bitter brines at Yantian. This new technology can not only effectively improve the domestic recovery of potassium sulfate recovery efficiency, but will further increase the overall efficiency of the salt industry, and has broad application prospects.
