Research and development in this area at home and abroad are also actively carried out.

Military packaging

At present, the packaging of military ammunition in China is still dominated by wooden boxes, which not only consumes a large amount of wood each year, but also has great limitations in the performance of wooden boxes, such as low strength, mildew, worms, and unsealed. Therefore, it is extremely important to study new packaging materials and packaging structures that have superior performance. WPC composites have the dual characteristics of plastic and wood, and some of their performance indicators are even better than plastics and wood. Except for low elongation at break and low impact strength, all other properties have reached the performance of current military packaging materials. Indicator range. Through further research to improve the physical and mechanical properties of wood-plastic composites, and improve the overall strength of the box through a reasonable box structure design, it is entirely possible for this material to be used for certain military packaging. Military facilities

In order to achieve these goals, an interdisciplinary research group was formed by a number of U.S. universities, a national laboratory, and industrial research units to study the feasibility of using wood-plastic composite materials in naval berth facilities. The rapid transformation of the results of this project was promoted. At present, some wood-plastic composite profiles have been used in the United States Navy ports as decking planks and other components in naval berth facilities.
