Ink manufacturing system for improving color balance effect

X-Rite company has developed color testing and can read the data information into a data format tool, and then begin to further plan for future development.

Shackell Edwards is the first beta station in the UK for new X-Rite software released at the end of this year. The new software will allow remote matching between Shackell Edwards ink production sites and regional service centers.

The regional center of Shackell Edwards will use X-Rite software to read the color blocks, and then transfer the data directly to a task to perform ink color matching. Shackell Edwards can also use this system to build a device management station at some large printing and packaging plants.

This software system is X-Rite's ink formulation and QA system. The system includes a 938 spectrophotometer using Ink-Master Colour Formulation Software software to create a complete laboratory system for ink manufacturers and printers. It can be used to control flexo, gravure, and screen printing and offset printing inks. The system only operates under Win95 and uses a new, unique mathematical engine to accurately and reliably formulate inks.

Shackell Edwards has been involved in the production of printing inks, polishes, and printing chemicals since 1786 and established a partnership with X-Rite in May 1999.

X-Rite recently introduced some new products. Ifra has used the ATD New instrument, which can read newsprint color data very efficiently. This device requires a check bar approximately 6 mm thick. At the bottom of this bar, there is a printed 50% gray color block containing three primary colors.

The printer puts this calibration strip on the reader. The bar will be lifted safely under vacuum and the reader will test the density values separately according to the instructions. The collected data can be represented in various ways and displayed in graphical form according to the position of the ink key. Because the data is digital, the ink keys can be connected directly through a closed loop system.

X-Rite Company also considered the versatility of the ATD design to a large extent. So the thickness is slightly higher than 3 inches, suitable for small and large-format newsprint. This design allows it to be mounted on the ink control key on the console so that the operator can manipulate the ink key while viewing the print.

The development of X-Rite's new tools has attracted the attention of CreoScitex. They also signed an agreement with X-Rite to install the DTP-4 test system on the Iris digital proofer. CreoScitex's installation on the Iris prototype machine can enhance the capabilities of the proofing system. Its automatic scanning function can automatically establish and intelligently adjust the profile files of ICC input devices, display devices, output devices, and other connected devices. It is said that it can be launched at the end of 2000
